Best Way To Take Off Acrylic Nails With Acetone

How to Remove Acrylic Nails at Home

Gather Your Materials

You will need: - 100% pure acetone - Cotton balls - Nail clippers - Nail file - Buffer - Cuticle pusher (optional) - Bowl or container - Towel

Prepare the Nails

1. Trim down the acrylic nails as much as possible using nail clippers. 2. File the surface of the nails to remove any shine. This will help the acetone penetrate the acrylic better.

Soak the Nails

1. Pour the acetone into a bowl or container. 2. Soak the nails in the acetone for 10-15 minutes, or until the acrylic starts to lift. 3. If the acrylic is not lifting after 10-15 minutes, repeat the soaking process.

Remove the Acrylic

1. Once the acrylic has lifted, use a cuticle pusher or your nails to gently remove the acrylic from the nail bed. 2. Use a nail file or buffer to smooth out any rough edges.

Tips

- Do not put acetone in the microwave. The acetone fumes are flammable and can cause a fire. - If you have sensitive skin, wear gloves while working with acetone. - Acetone can dry out your nails, so be sure to moisturize them after removing the acrylic nails.

Warning

- Do not use acetone to remove gel nails. Acetone will damage gel nails. - If you have any cuts or open wounds on your hands, do not soak your nails in acetone. Acetone can sting and irritate open wounds.
