Bayern Munich Not Favored By Supercomputer To Win Champions League

Bayern Munich not favored by supercomputer to win Champions League

Leverkusen surprisingly predicted as more likely winners

Dortmund, Manchester City, and Real Madrid also in the top 5

A supercomputer has predicted that Bayern Munich will not be the winners of the 2023 Champions League. The German club was considered one of the top contenders to win the competition, but the supercomputer has tipped Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen to lift the trophy instead.

The supercomputer, which was developed by FiveThirtyEight, simulated the Champions League draw and knockout stages 100,000 times to generate the predictions. It took into account factors such as team strength, recent form and historical data.

According to the supercomputer, Leverkusen have a 13% chance of winning the Champions League, while Bayern Munich are second favorites with a 12% chance. Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also in the top five, with 11%, 10% and 9% chances respectively.

The supercomputer's prediction is a surprise, as Bayern Munich have been the dominant force in German football in recent years. They have won the Bundesliga ten times in a row and have also won the Champions League twice in the past seven years.

However, Leverkusen have been in impressive form this season. They are currently top of the Bundesliga and have won their last six matches in all competitions. They also have a strong squad, with players such as Florian Wirtz, Moussa Diaby and Patrik Schick.

It remains to be seen whether the supercomputer's prediction will come true, but it is certainly a sign that Bayern Munich are not the only team who can win the Champions League this season.
