Sterling was honored at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, days after announcing his retirement. He received a standing ovation from the crowd and was presented with a plaque commemorating his career.

"It's been a great run," Sterling said. "I've had the privilege of working with some of the greatest players in baseball history. I'm grateful to the Yankees and to the fans for all their support over the years."
